Krista and Tony Hughes medical expense fund

This account has been set up on behalf of Krista and Tony Hughes. Several have asked about helping them financially after all they have gone through and continue to deal with medically. Krista has had life changing, major health issues over the past 3 and a half years. Here is a timeline, along with a couple of events Tony has faced in the middle of it all.
January 2016 diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer.
February 2016 started nine weeks of chemo and radiation at Harrington Cancer Center.
Finish treatment in April.
July 18, 2016 flown to Lubbock with sepsis and acute respirator failure.
Spent three weeks in ICU where I was put on a ventilator, given a tracheostomy and a peg tube.
August 2016 transferred to the critical floor of a long-term acute care facility where I was treated with high dose antibiotics and started physical therapy, occupational therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Released just before Thanksgiving 2016.
January 2017 three weeks of physical therapy.
Started making trips to specialist at UT Southwestern in Dallas for treatment of the in my throat.
April 2017 – Move cancer care to Texas Oncology
June 2017 – 20 more dives of hyperbaric oxygen treatment.
July 2017 pass my swallowing test. Had the trach removed and sent back all medical equipment and stopped home health care.
Fall 2017 worked on speech and swallowing therapy with speech therapist at PRMC.
January 2018 had trach revision surgery at UT Southwestern. Also removed small cyst on my back.
February 2018 - Pathology report on cyst reports that it is actually a tumor. Had another surgery to remove more tissue and get clean margins.
April 2018 - Apply for and approved for disability retirement from the Teacher Retirement System
August 2018 – Start working with prosthodontist in Lubbock to build a prosthetic device to help me eat and speak better.
August 31, 2018 My last day of employment with Pampa ISD
September 2018 – Dr. Mohan sent Tony to the emergency room to have a brown recluse bite cleaned out.
October 2018 – Tony falls from the back of his truck breaking is lower back and several ribs. Sent from PRMC by ambulance to NWTH emergency room. Admitted and spends a week at NWTH.
January 2019 - Bi-yearly PET Scan
February 2019 – After two mammograms and two biopsy I am diagnosed with breast cancer.
March 2019 – Genetic testing
April 2019 – Surgery to have bilateral mastectomy, partial reconstruction, and removal of two lymph nodes Waiting to get drainage tubes removed. Will work with plastic surgeon over the next couple of months to finish reconstruction with implants as well as education classes over lymphedema and estrogen suppression therapy.
We love Krista and Tony and have been providing meals for them after Krista's most recent surgery. But, there have been several requests to contribute financially, especially from people who are not local. If you would like to bless this couple, please do so.
