Mark’s Recovery

On Wednesday, May 15, Dad had a very serious accident and has suffered some very serious injuries.  He has broken his C5 & C6 in his neck and is wearing a collar to support his spine while it heals.  Many major lacerations to his head requiring two surgeries. A small skull fracture, bruised lungs.  He was on life support from Wednesday to Saturday is now awake and beginning to better communicate verbally and let us know what’s bothering him and how we can help. 
The length of recovery is unknown, but it isn’t going to be short. 
Few people are financially prepared for a situation like this, and the added stress cannot be a positive toward recovery. 
When  Dad is well enough to grasp the reality of his recovery journey, it would be extremely helpful to at least have some kind of funds available to avoid him having anything to take his focus from healing.

While I am here in Calgary I will be buying gas cards/parking passes for our family to be able to travel daily to visit Dad. I will be sorting out where funds needs to be dispersed for bills and I will pay them until Dad is capable of taking them over again, at which time remaining funds will be transferred to his control to use to pay for any needs during his recovery
