KC Youth to AHFF

Flowfeel Films is raising funds to send Kosciusko Cares Film Camp writers to the All American High School Film Festival October 7th and 8th in New York City!

In the summer of 2016 six area youth participated in the Kosciusko Cares Film Camp. The youth wrote and produced four films around the themes of kindness and compassion. Instructors of the camp, Brent Kado and Jessica Hardy of Flowfeel Films, worked with local media company & crew Fritzel Media to write and shoot the films.

And now one of the films "Fight Night Polite" has been accepted to New York City's All American High School Film Festival!

The money you donate through this campaign will pay for travel, accomodations, and entry fees for the two student writers and their families.

Kosciusko Cares has evolved from its initial purpose of collecting and evaluating community data and information to the development and implementation of evidence-based programs for youth and families; and now we enter a new, more robust phase to better serve county residents. In January Kosciusko Cares, under the umbrella of the Otis R. Bowen Center, was accepted as an Associate Member of the Indiana Youth Services Association, and as such will become a fully accredited Youth Services Bureau.

The Mission of Kosciusko Cares is to advocate for, support, and promote healthy youth development leading to increased resiliency, responsibility, and wellness by preventing and decreasing substance abuse and other problem behaviors.

We will need the funding by September 15th because the timeline is rather quick.  We found out the film was accepted at the end of July and the festival takes place October 7th and 8th.

The opportunity for area youth to participate and be honored for their good work is what Kosciusko Cares is all about. In an effort to be preventative in our community Kosciusko Cares rewards teens for what they do in the world to make a difference. They are building a stronger community and letting Kosciusko teens know that we hear them and want to see them succeed.

Thank you for considering supporting the arts and youth in Kosciusko County.

Sincerely,
Flowfeel Films
