Jesus. Shirts. Haiti.

Hi everyone!

Most of you have been following along on my Haiti journey that began all the way back in 2011. Small steps of obedience over the years through opened doors landed me full time in Haiti in 2014. Fast forward 2 years and I am still in Haiti thanks God and incredible people who have not only prayerfully supported me, but have faithfully financially supported me.

But seasons change and chapters come to a close so that another seasn and chapter can start. And that's where I am right now.

My time with Happy Kids International has come to a close and I couldn't be any more thankful for their support and opportunities that I have had. Starting November 1st, I will be starting to work with another organization called Konbit based in the same city I have been living the past couple years. My role will be the same as it was through Happy Kids. I will be the Team & Discipleship Coordinator--which basically means I will be organizing teams and continuing to lead and write Bible studies with young Haitian women. I have seen incredible growth in the Haitians I have been pouring into the past couple years and I am thankful I will be able to maintain those same relationships and continue to work with them through Konbit.

So why am I starting a GoFundMe?

As the years go by, I understand seasons change for other people and finances change as well. I am completely indebted in love to every single person who has supported me along the way. At the same time though, monthly support has decreased and the cost to live, continue discipleship and continue to help people here has stayed the same (if not increased because I've developed relationships with more people). I still need faithful monthly partners to join in the work ( if you're interested in that, let me know and I get more information to you) but this GoFundMe campaign is to fill in the gap and help me get re-established with my new organization and hopefully get me funded for a good portion of my next year.

As I move out and start with my new organization, there are things that will need to be bought for everyday life that I haven't had before. There are start-up things I'll need like a bed & mattress, dresser, refrigerator, small generator so I'll have power, possibly a small inverter and a few batteries,  propane tank for my small stove and paying a small monthly rent ($200 a month) and a few other things. Funds will be raised to pay for those things first and then they will roll over into starting the process to get my residency ($400) and then onto plane tickets and expenses needed for everyday life.

I am selling t-shirts again with my favorite lyric from Needtobreathe's new song, Testify, and you can help me reach my goal by purchasing one. Just put your name, how many you want, what style, and size in the comments or you can shoot me a personal message via Facebook and I'll put you down.  Add $5 to cover shipping if you don't live around Marion or Bowling Green, KY.

(shirts are unisex and will err on the larger side)

If you'd just like to just give a donation to go towards my work here, you can make that donation through this campaign as well. If you'd like to give and it be tax-deductible, let me know and I'll get you that information. Also, if you're old fashioned and would like to give via check, let me know and I'll get you a mailing address.

There is a lot to be done and I can't do it by myself.
Will you join the good fight with me?

Lots of love to you all!

In Christ,
Jessie
