Knobloch Flood Fund

A year ago, Denis and Jackie Knobloch felt God's clear leading to pick up and move their lives and business to the U.S./Mexico border, both to be a blessing to the communities on the U.S. side, but also with a vision to support Isaiah 55 Ministries and their vocational programs for the Deaf and at-risk youth in Mexico. It took a year for everything to come together, including buying a building, securing permits, and moving the equipment down.

They were finally set to start running their business this past Wednesday, June 20th, when, in the early morning hours, the town of Weslaco was hit with 9 inches of rain in 3 hours.  Their shop, the machines, along with their personal items which were being stored there until they had finished refurbishing an apartment in the shop, are now under 2-3 feet of water. They are not sure when they will be able to get back in, nor if the machines and other items can be salvaged. Without the ability to work, they do not have an income. They did not have flood insurance to cover this loss, as their building is not in a flood plain. The neighbor reported that she had never seen water like this in the 29 years she has lived next door.

With many decisions up in the air, the Knobloch's could use your support for their daily living expenses as they wait out the weather situation here, find out what can be salvaged, and seek wisdom and direction on where and how God is leading them forward.
