Portland Day Laborer Needs Support to Avoid Deportation Order!
Sergio Serrano is an important community leader in Portland. At Voz Workers’ Rights Education Project, he was elected as Finance Representative to the Day Laborer Committee. As a day laborer, he shows up every day looking for new opportunities, and is committed to serving his community as a volunteer, attending workshops, meetings, and worker assemblies.
On January 8th, Sergio went to his usual ICE check-in and was notified he has a final order of removal and they give him until February 12th to present a flight ticket to leave the country and they ordered him to leave the US by March 8, 2020.
In 2019, Sergio was the victim of a serious crime. Now he needs community support to be able to pay for the costs associated with filing a U-visa and Stay of Removal. Help Sergio raise $2,500.00 in order to pay for the costs of applying for a U-visa and Stay of Removal so he can avoid the deportation order.

Sergio Serrano es un importante líder comunitario en Portland.
