Help a Pup in Pain

Indy the Sunshine Pup is in need of medical attention to uncover the cause behind his severe hip pain. It has left him unable to walk or even stand up without causing him to cry out in distress.
This GoFundMe was started to help ease medical bills for our dog, who is having trouble (and debilitating amounts of pain) walking. We are looking at medication, blood tests, x-rays, and possibly surgery depending on the outcome. In the end this could come to be over $1,000. We ask only for what you can spare to help us keep our good boy happy, healthy, and pain-free.
This is our 17-month-old pup, Indy (short for Indiana Bones: Raider of the Lost Bark). Since the very first day we met him at the rescue facility we adopted him from, he was a rambunctious, fun-loving boy – always excited to play, walk, hike, and generally get into trouble. Since his adoption about 6 months ago, he usually gets one walk a day (if not more), or at least some time in at the doggy park to run off his energy. His activity level hasn’t changed dramatically enough to explain the pain he has begun to display.
A few days ago, he started noticeably favoring one leg around 9 pm and by 11 pm couldn’t walk without whimpering. He’s usually not very vocal, so his loud crying had me worried. – His vet prescribed him anti-inflammatories and sedatives, along with an order to keep him off his feet as best we can. She was not, however, able to tell us the root of the problem without any kind of blood-testing or x-rays. These two procedures together will be costly enough, and will most likely require follow-up action. Unfortunately, the situation has not seemed to improve with only rest and medication.
Both myself and my partner are college students – only able to work part-time and already in debt. We would very much appreciate any help you can give our sweet boy.
If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting Indy, you know how excitable he is; how happy he is to simply chase his tail. As of now he can’t even stand up without tremendous effort. I just want to see my pup back to himself. Thank you.
We are hoping to raise sufficient funds for medication, blood tests, and x-rays by next week. I will update if surgery is neccessary as well.
