When I rescued Kingston from Puerto Rico on Dec 1, 2013, I was completely ignorant to the change and positive impact he would have on my life. He wasn't my first dog, not even my first rescue dog, but he was as undeniably unique as they come. He was more than a dog but a homestead of love, growth, and stability during a time of my life when I needed it the most. His personality was also incredibly infectious, in the happiness and bliss he brought to the rest of the world. If you ask me who rescued who, I'll undoubtedly say that Kingston was the one who rescued me that Sunday - not the other way around.
Unfortunately, on July 6th, 2018, I lost my best friend to a brain tumor and paralysis. Every day I still feel the pain of his absence and can't help but to feel short-changed by his early death. With that said, I also feel blessed for the opportunity to have rescued Kingston and am extremely thankful for the selflessness and tireless work of the many rescue organizations all around the world.
In honor of Kingston's life, we're pledging to not only give back but to also help raise further awareness around our passion for rescuing our four-legged friends and providing them with loving homes.
We've decided to recognize Muddy Paws Rescue, an NYC based non-profit, as the benefactor of our donations, for the incredible foster and rescue work they've done here in the city we love.
With your help, these additional resources will allow Muddy Paws to continue saving lives - dogs and humans alike. Help us make sure that all the Kingston's of the world are given the chance to continue changing the lives of all the Ryan's and Annette's of the world.
Thank you and much love!
