Help Kids get to Europe-Kinderchor

Donation protected
Chicago is home to The German-American Children’s Chorus, also known as The Deutsch-Amerikanischer Kinderchor (“Kinderchor”), an ethnically blended group of nearly 50 members, ages four to eighteen.  Since 1935, Kinderchor has been continually active in the Chicago-land area, enthusiastically promoting German heritage and cultural unity through the universal language of music.

Kinderchor will soon embark on a Concert Tour of Germany and Austria.  Under the skillful direction of Ms. Carol Himmel, Kinderchor will be performing in three formal concerts hosted by local German/Austrian partner choruses, as well as in some informal gatherings. This is a trip of a lifetime for Kinderchor members.

The two-week trip begins in June 2016.  Kinderchor’s first destination is Vienna, Austria where Kinderchor will have the distinguished honor to perform, informally, at the St. Stephen’s Cathedral (Stephansdom) in the heart of Vienna.  From Vienna we travel to Linz, Austria. Our final hub will be Munich, Germany.  Our concert is scheduled to take place in the town of Bad Toelz, a short ride from Munich.  Although we are making only three cities our home base, we have many day trips and activities planned.

Please help subsidize some of these activities for the children of Kinderchor by donating through this Go- Fund-Me page.

Your support is needed and very much appreciated.  Thank you.
