Kimmie & T.J lost their adoring mother, Shawna R. Wisser on July 31st, 2017 after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. Shawna passed away nine years to the day of her original diagnosis. She was 41 years old. Shawna is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Dennis Wisser. Shawna and Dennis originally met in the military where they were both serving.
The Wisser family currently resides in Yorktown, Virginia. Dennis has spent the last 22 years of his career serving in the U.S. Military. His job with the Air Force demands frequent trips overseas. Dennis has relied heavily on Shawna’s ability to manage the house, pay the bills, and see to all of the needs of their children's busy schedules.
Now, as a single parent to, two grieving children, Dennis is bound to experience many challenging times ahead.
Kimmie will begin her first semester commuting at a nearby community college. T.J will enter 11th grade where he is actively involved with the band. T. J has played the saxaphone for, four years. He starts band camp and drivers training in the coming weeks.
As the news of Shawna’s passing has spread, many wonderful friends and family have asked for ways they can help. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family kindly request people contribute to the future educational needs of Kimmie and T.J with donations made to this fund.
We thank you for the outpouring of love and support and ask for your continued prayers as the Wisser family attempts to adjust to a life without Shawna’s active presence.
