Kimmel Gnomes Animal Sanctuary
Kimmel Gnomes is working toward building an animal sanctuary with emphasis on providing lifetime sanctuary for hopeless cats on death row at the local shelter. We've had a great many setbacks in recent years due to the economy but still we move forward. We have never been in a position where our loyal customers can visit with us when they come to the Black Hills and that is also something we would like to do at the sanctuary.
We currently house 18 rescued cats. They live indoors with us and have 3 outdoor enclosures they can access 24/7. We love them with all our heart. They will never know hunger, loneliness or human cruelty again. We donate and dedicate our lives freely to do this work.
We would like to take this opportunity to Thank all our customers for continuing to support us over the years and in doing so move us closer to our goal. Here are some of our beloved kitties enjoying their new forever home with us.

Anyways Georgie's story (they ALL have one) was that just one day a new Cat was discovered amongst the resident Cats here, in their outside Cat Enclosure!!! :-O No telling How long he had been in there ~ as the Cats already Knew him and had gotten comfortable with him! Either he had jumped down from the roof Into the enclosure OR someone had thrown him over the fence (I suspect the latter). In any case, He REALLY wanted to Live here!!! ;-)
He started out (and another Cat... Bobby) as TNR Cats.... he progressed to a 'In & Out' Cat... finally after Him and Bobbie started catching too many Rabbits (native Cottontails ~ there's a long time Nest/Den out front!!) he and Bobby were made Full TIME Indoor Cats... and joined the Collective!! ;-)
Unlike Bobbie, George fit right IN here immediately... all the Cats liked him and got along with him... NO small task! He was a very mellow laid back Cat who only wanted his comforts, goodies and heater to lay by ALL day.... one Happy Camper to be sure!
Finally, someone at sometime had taught this Cat (before he got here) HOW to jump up FROM the ground.... onto your Shoulders.... then adjust himself so you could stand completely erect!! ;-) There's several other Cats here that TRY to do the same BUT George is the Only Cat I've ever known that did it Right!! ;-) <3
He will be sorely missed... just as they all are... just as they all will be. :'( Oh one more thing about George... he had the 'deepest' (bass?) meow too that I've heard in a Cat!! ;-) Nuff' said.
As always, any and all Donations through GoFundMe and/or PayPal would be most welcome to offset the Vet Bills ($$$) incurred at least Trying to save George... despite all odds. Thank you. Kimmel Gnomes Animal Sanctuary: www.kimmelgnomes.com/catsanctuary.html
I WANT TO DONATE ON A SECURE WEBSITE OR PAYPAL. NOT A CREDIT CARD. THANKS.
To folks that would prefer NOT to Donate through This page page, alternatively you can go to www.kimmelgnomes.com/catsanctuary.html and a 'Donate' Button to PayPal is there ~ you do NOT have to pay by CC. OR, on the same page, an address for Mail-In donations is shown. Hope this squares us away? The Kitties here will sure appreciate it!! Thank you Very much, Rick Kimmel
