In the early hours of Valentine's Day, my brother-in-law, Kyle Hetchler, lost his battle with mental illness and chronic pain, leaving my sister Kimberly and her children Kylie, Kohl, and Kaleb with broken hearts beyond words.
We are setting up this GoFundMe as a way to help Kimberly and her children dig out of the financial hole from the past few years and to help Kimberly get back on her feet as she begins her journey as a single parent.
As many of you know, Kimberly has been supporting Kyle for many years during his heartbreaking battle with PTSD, Bipolar Depression, and Chronic Back Pain. As Kyle's illnesses progressed and he was unable to work, Kimberly went to work full time as a hospice nurse. She steadfastly cared for their 3 kids and Kyle, which has been emotionally and financially draining.
The lethal combination of illnesses, being unable to work and provide for his family, and having no relief in sight no matter what treatment or medications he was given - he simply lost all hope. Kimberly was trying hard to make ends meet prior to his death, but the expenses accrued during the years of Kyle's illnesses are far more than she can afford.
Although Kimberly is my sister, she is truly the sweetest, kindest, most selfless person I know. She loves her Lord, her church, her friends, and her kids. She wants desperately to create a stable home for them as they all learn to live without Kyle. Any help you could give would be so greatly appreciated.
