Kimberley Medieval Festival 2018

We are gearing up for our fourth and final Medieval Festival, and we want to make it the best one yet. The Kimberley Medieval Festival is a free festival to bring together the community, provide an event to bring families together, and to make the summer a time to look forward to in Kimberley. 

All funds raised will be used to bring in re-enactment groups, pay for insurance, a stage, and make the festival possible for us to put on. 

Although the festival has grown over the last three years, it is still difficult to raise enough funds each year to make it happen. The Kimberley City Bakery has paid to bring in the Viking re-enactors each year, but it takes thousands and thousands of dollars to put on a festival, and we want to ensure that it can be something that everyone can enjoy without cost. 

With all of the hurdles the city has put in our way to keep the day to day operations of the business and festival going, we are even more greatful than ever for the kindness shown by the community in supporting the festival. We know that the businesses are asked for support for every event that goes through town, and we appreciate that much more each dollar that is donated to the festival, because the amount of money we receive dictates how many acts and groups we can bring in.
