Kilmer Odyssey team for World Finals

Donation protected
Our Odyssey of the Mind team is competing at the World Finals to be held at the Michigan State University in May! We are super excited to be competing at this advanced level and will be putting in our very best effort to win.

Ours is an all-girls team from Kilmer Middle School at Vienna, VA. We are competing in the Engineering problem category – we have designed a completely unique vehicle that won first place as well as the Ranatra Fusca award for creativity and risk-taking at the Regional competition. Registering for the World Championship Tournament is an expensive affair! The registration is $3600 and the cost to transport our props will be additional dollars. We are hoping to raise that amount by asking our friends to help! Please donate generously to allow us to compete at the World Finals and win for all the girls interested in pursuing STEM around the world. Our target is to raise $4000 for our registration and transport.

The judges at the regional competition provided words of praise for our solution as part of the Ranatra Fusca award for creativity, a portion of which is represented below:

This team showed exceptional creativity in propulsion engineering and design that echoed the team’s overall “book” theme.
