Kidney Transplant Fund for Alexis

At age three, Alexis was diagnosed with Focal Segmental Glomerulsclerosis. FSGS, a rare form of nephrotic disease, causes her body to attack her own kidneys. There is no known cause and no cure. Alexis and her family have fought all her life just to keep smiling through numerous infections, treatments, and surgeries. Her mother, Angela, went to school to be an RN in order to give her daughter the best home healthcare possible.  Angela has been Alexis’ primary nurse for the last 6 years.

Now, after multiple attempts to revive her kidneys and countless endeavors to restore her health, Alexis is officially in kidney failure. At fifteen, this beautiful young lady has already been through more and fought harder than any of us may ever understand. With days and weeks of prolonged treatments and hospital stays, there’s often an overwhelming worry over when the next health crisis will manifest.

She is now at a point that a transplant is necessary. Our hope is that it will restore her body and grant her the long-overdue opportunity to live a normal life. The transplant process, however, is long and complicated, with substantial costs not covered by insurance. And with the increased demand on their time, emotionally and financially, her parents cannot work enough hours to provide for their daughter. We need your help.
