Kidney Transplant Recovery Fund

Hello everyone! As you all may know by now, my name was pulled for a kidney on 09/27/2017. It was very unexpected due to the fact of a recent heart surgery. I surely thought it would be another year or two. I total 8 years on the list on and off due to my heart issue. Last year, was diagnosed with heart failure. I was temporarily suspended from the transplant list. Earlier this year, I made the decision to have a defibrillator placed. Recently, I was taken through all the prelim testing and everything came out GREAT! Including my stress test! I was reactivated on the list and called two weeks later for transplant!
Unfortunately, my donor was a 19 y/o young man who succumbed to his injuries. He was struck by a vehicle and his parents decided to donate all of his organs. He had the same blood type as I and the cross match was successful. I want to thank his family for their selfless act of kindness during a time where they needed the most comfort. They placed themselves last to give life. My family sends the utmost condolences to his family and our prayers are with them.
I am raising money to help with my recovery as it will be a long process. We placed some of our own money into the Georgia Kidney Transplant Fund but it just won't be enough. Any donation would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks to all my friends and family. I appreciate each and every one of you!
