My name is Alec, and with the Global Immersions group, at the end of the year myself and 40 other students set out to the slums of Tanzania to raise money for children and communities such as Mandela, Kaloleni and Azimio primary schools.
Where is your money actually going?
Collectively we aim to provide 21 children of the slums with two years of educational boarding, and a community hall for all three schools which can be used to positively impact the surrounding communities. It can not only be used as an educational resource, but an economic oportunity for the schools, as it can serve as a function/conferance area, wedding hall or for other events. Your donation will drastically improve the hygeine of students and schools with more sanitized toilets, with 200 students currently sharing 1 toilet.
Will you support the children of Kibera to get out of the disease ridden slum, and into welcoming communities? Because all children deserve the little things, even athletics carnivals.
