Help A Domestic Violence Survivor

I’m trying this again since the last one was kind of a fail. As most of you know I escaped from my abusive husband with my 3 year-old son about month ago. We are having a VERY rough time because I still have another 30 days or so before I can establish residency and apply for any kind of benefits. We have no food, I have rent to pay where I’m staying, we need clothes and shoes and basic things to keep surviving. I packed as fast as I could and only brought summer clothes and the days and nights are getting chillier. We have 0 fall or winter clothes. I’ve been trying to take advantage of the free resources in the area, but there honestly isn’t much. The food pantries are very limited and you can only go a certain amount of times. I don’t have a car, so sometimes it’s not possible to go because I don’t have money for transportation. I need money to survive until I get get some kind of assistance or find a job. This is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be and I wasn’t prepared. If you can help at all I would be so thankful and grateful. Thank you for reading.
