Special Education School Garden
Donation protected
The Special Education Team at Lynwood Elementary is trying to raise money to restore a campus garden that is in ruins. Last year a program at the school was caring for the garden. The program has since moved and so did the caretakers. Now is a great time for us to raise money to restore, purchase a better shed, and build a greenhouse to keep out field creatures.
We are also applying for a grant but there is no guarantee and it will only cover a bit of the cost. We have a team ready to dedicate their time and love to teaching our youngsters the wonders of a garden, self-sustainability, lessons of agriculture, teamwork, and caring for our earth through composting and clean growing, as well as creating a butterfly sanctuary.
We are excited about this opportunity and hope you are too.
