One little girl, one big dream!
My name is Marley and I am nine years old. I've been in competitive gymnastics for three years and it has become a huge part of my life both in the gym and at home. I love being a part of the gymnastics world! Some of the things that I am especially proud of over the last three years of competitive seasons are:
I have received 62 medals to date (many of them 1st overall).
I received the Athlete of the Year award in 2018.
I have received Scholastic awards for high achievement in school (90% or higher) each year.
I competed in the BC Championships and placed 2nd overall.
I have placed 1st at the Ogopogo Invitational three years in a row.
My coach continues to be my inspiration. She is a former Olympian herself who keeps me focused and pushes me to be my best. My parents keep telling me that my journey is one step at a time but I am determined to show everyone that I am capable of successfully sticking the "Arabian" on the beam! Just like my coach!
As Marley's parents we are determined to not stand in her way and to let her shine as bright as she possibly can. We cannot do this on our own and although we are blessed with supportive friends and family who have helped out in numerous ways throughout this journey so far, we financially have given all we can give. Marley is surrounded by a wealth of emotional support both in and out of the gym. She is an amazing student at school always giving 100% in everything that she does.
Through bad days, bruises, mishaps, ice packs, tears of exhaustion and even a broken nose, this little one has set her sights on a dream and nothing will defer her from her goal! We are doing what we can to keep the financial hardship off this list of worries for her and are reaching out to friends, family and community to help us, help her to reach her stars!
