Road To Sanctuary Documentary
Hello! My name is Cecil Garner and I'm a Cosplayer and Impersonator of Rick Grimes from the show "The Walking Dead". I decided, after winning the nationwide Walker Stalker Rick Grimes Look-a-Like Contest, I would start attending Comicons due to the high demand to see my Cosplay. I felt the need to offer more to those that love the show and had began to follow my progression, so I built a mockup of the Prison and added a live zombie to add to the photographs that we will be able to offer everyone.
It worked out very well and things are really gaining momentum now! I have been presented an opportunity to take a chance and make a trek across the US to attend four conventions from Florida to California all within 30 days. The cost to be on the road, drive my truck, pull a trailer with my zombie set, and have a team to support my Photo Experience is so high that I was afraid I would have to pass on the tour... but that's when I cross paths with a documentary team that saw the potential in what I'm doing. The team will not only be filming what goes on behind the scenes but we will also be developing a You Tube mini-series with a unique story line. (Perhaps something to do with Mr. Grimes' family line)...hmmm!
Due to the timing, the popularity of the show, and my current demand, I could not pass up this chance to make this film and Documentary. This meant I would have to give notice to my day job and take a leap of faith. Friday was my last day at my old job... now it’s time to take this show on the road!
I'm asking for assistance to help offset the expenses associated with covering the costs of this major undertaking... from the pre-production and travel expenses of 30 days on the road with a full team, to the final production cost and marketing.
I am offering Advertisement/Sponsorship space on my Zombie Transport Cargo Trailer but due to the short time before we depart, I am not able to market to everyone as quickly as I would need to in order to raise the amount needed. You can see the full details on my new website www.RoadtoSanctuary.com We need the funding NOW as we are due to leave March 2nd or the documentary will have to be cut short and I will have to complete the tour without the rest of the team.
I am in my forties now and have been through some rough times...sitting behind a desk always wondering if there was more to life than just that glaring monitor in front of me...always expecting the next lay off to put me through the ringer over and over again. I now know that if you wait long enough sometimes an opportunity can present itself to change the way you see life...to have something so profound occur that your passion for life is reignited. This I see is my chance! A chance to create and share something very special and to not have to look back and say, "I should NOT have let that pass me by!" The team and I would really appreciate your support with a donation to our project but if you are not able to do so, please feel free to follow our progress on our website and enjoy the journey with us as I’m sure it will be an incredible adventure! Thanks in advance for your support!
Thank you to all that have shown your support. Please keep sharing our project and getting the word out .. The Road To Sanctuary must Push on! www.RoadtoSanctuary.com
