It's so hard to ask for help, but it's harder to go it alone. I hesitated greatly before signing up for Go Fund, thinking there are so many others who need it more. In the end, at this time, so do we. My family has struggled for the past 7 years to come back from financial ruin when one job was lost and another income cut by 33% at the same time. We fought for 3 years to get out of foreclosure and won finally in August 2013. We have cut corners and fought hard to get back on our feet and it had taken the entire 7 years. Finally we were at a point of getting back, paying things on time, keeping up with the mortgage. We are a pay check to pay check family and each week brings its challenges, but I always figured that we were blessed to wake up, so we'd figure it out. At the end of December, my husband John was pulled from work with a back issue and ended up having surgery on January 8. He has yet to return to work and none of this has been with pay. As you can imagine, a family like ours living pay check to pay check, this amount of time down an income is detrimental. This is on top of expenses getting our son off to college in August, which was a struggle for us but so important to do for his future. After pay day today without my husband's check, we literally do not have enough to grocery shop, put gas in the car, pay the mortgage, or even just breathe, at least that's how it feels. We would be so grateful for anyone who would be in a position to help us get out of this temporary setback while my husband recovers. We have a son in college and daughter in high school to help support and we just want to try to get by while he's recovering.

I chose our sunset picture for our campaign because that is the view from our living room. We take pictures from this point every season, as it's beautiful; it's our home.
