Frank, Shelly, Ryan, and Dereck are a wonderful family. They are heavily involved in their community, school, and church. On Friday December 2, Ryan, their six year old son was diagnosed with kidney cancer. He was hit by a flying basketball at the Apple Valley Christian School game. If it wasn't for that ball, he wouldn't have been diagnosed so soon. Even with the early discovery, the tumor had grown to the same size as his kidney. He had to have a surgery to remove his entire kidney. He will also be undergoing chemotherapy treatments that will require him to be in the hospital. The Moore's have and will have numerous expenses including, but not limited to: perscriptions, insurance deductibles, commuting money (hospital is an hour from home). They are a one income family and will be devestated by this diagnosis if not for our generous support. Please pray for them and generously give to their family.

We have not updated in a while... Today was chemo number 9 marking his halfway point. he has struggled with the weight loss and today by Gods grace he gained back 2.3 pounds that he had lost. we were getting dangerously close to having to use a feeding tube but god had other plans and put the weight back on. Next week he has a CT scan to check for progress on his treatment and his appointment to see the endocrinologist to evaluate the thyroid tests he had before his Kidney removal. As always our family is so grateful for your support, love, and encouragement.
Blessings to all,
The Moore Family

Ryan has officially had 4 weeks of Chemo! 1 month down 15 treatments to go! Today was a double dose so we are trying to stay ahead of the nausea. Within the last week he has developed an allergy to the adhesive that holds his PICC line in place. the rash is causing him a lot of pain and has spread upwards into his armpit and past the elbow. the oncologist said if we can not control it and have it healing that we will need to have a port placed in his chest to finish out his treatments. We are going to loma linda more frequently to have the seals replace because of the itching and infection. We are forever grateful for your prayers and encouragement..

Today Ryan completed his second round of chemo. We Pray that his body stays strong to fight. He struggled greatly on the first round and was violently sick. The doctors are working to find the right combination of medications to work for his little body to help ease the pain and nausea. He was able to maintain his weight and the iron infusion worked for the anemia. Our family is so incredibly grateful to our Church, our friends, and the community for your support, strength and encouragement our Journey has just begun but we will prevail! GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!
