I am very thankful to have such amazing people in my life. Thank you for stepping up and helping me without hesitation. Some people might read my story and not understand that this car was my job, without it I am unable to provide for my family and when this accident happened all my income stopped immediately. Things will be back to normal soon but until then please continue to share my story. And for those of you who don't know my story, here it is: My life was turned upside down a few weeks ago when I was driving on the freeway minding my own business.... I was rear ended in a 5 car accident while driving for Lyft....my insurance company, Metromile, won't cover the accident because I was on a Lyft trip even though they charge me by the mile while driving Lyft....yes u read correctly they charge me per mile while driving Lyft but I'm not covered while driving for Lyft.....so I contact Lyfts insurance and they say I have to pay a $2500 deductible soooo where am I supposed to get $2500 when I no longer have a car which was my job? YES DRIVING WAS MY FULLTIME JOB......because I was not at fault the liable driver's insurance company is going to pay right?....WRONG....they are only going to pay what THEY think the car is worth and because I was leasing the car, the leasing company gets paid 1st and I get what's left. In the event I owe more than what the car is worth then I have to pay the leasing company out of pocket and of course I owe more than the car is worth. Soooo now I owe the leasing company and the $2500 deductible for a accident that was not my fault, I repeat not my fault! & because it was a multiple car accident by the time the at fault drivers insurance company finishes adding up everyone's damages we won't all be paid in full because she has a max limit on what her company will pay out. The program that I was leasing the car from is through Uber and they have a one time leasing opportunity which means I cannot lease another car from them even though the accident was not my fault, I repeat not my fault. So now I have no car which means I have no job and I am the breadwinner in my household. All I want to do is get back to work as soon as possible so please help if you can and pass it on to someone if you can't. Thanks again for all the love and support.
