Sometimes, something comes along and you think – yeah, we’ll have some of that. Well, that ‘thing’ happened last year when we decided to support the education of eight girls in Cambodia.
They’re an amazing bunch. The daughters of farmers and factory workers, ranging from 10 years old to 19 years old. Alongside paying for classes, they need books, uniforms, and transport. Education won't only change their lives, but the lives of their families and communities.
We were not the only ones to say yes – the entire company did, but a small group of us decided to do a swimming challenge, we're calling it a 'swimming marathon' and here's the reason why...
Ever swum twenty lengths at your local pool and felt like an Olympian? Well, this 10K swim is the equivalent of four hundred lengths, and takes about the same time as the average runner takes to complete a marathon - 3 - 4 1/2 hours.
With pink swimming caps securely snapped into place and wearing our most fetching rubber suits, we’ll be throwing ourselves into our wild swim challenge.
It’s going to be a difficult task, but we’re determined to pull it off.
