Keys to Restoring Our Steinway
Donation protected
Music at St. Andrew's has always been at the heart of our worship, and at the center of our outreach to the wider community. Our vision has always been to be a leading venue for the performance art in historic downtown Mount Holly.
In 1964, we were fortunate to bequested a 1928 Steinway Model OO Piano. It was a generous gift from the Jones family. This magnificent instrument has accompanied the singers of St. Andrew's choirs as a practice instrument for the past 53 years. However, at 90, it is in need of some major work.
The restoration process is already underway. It was moved to the restoration workshop in Spring 2017. Our vision is to restore this beautiful instrument to it's full 1928 grandeur. It will then be placed in the Nave of our magnificant 1843 Gothic church to enrich our worship; as well as enhance community performances for years to come.
You are the KEY! Help us by sponsoring one or more of the eighty-eight keys on our historic Steinway!
