Hi all. I really don't like to ask for help, because I believe there are others out there who need it more than we do. We have lived in our home for almost 9 years, after being homeless before moving in. We were offered to rent the house out in 2009 and have been here since.
Over the last year or so, we have come into some very hard times financially, mostly from medical bills when I severely fractured my ankle and was uninsured. After paying off some of the debts, more appeared and with continued medical bills from continued care, each month, each week, and each day is extremely difficult. We are living a tight income and with the way utilities are skyrocketing, we simply cannot afford the rent, utilities, and personal expenses (groceries, student loans, car insurance, medications, doctor co-pays, etc) all at the same time.
Our landlord isn't very understand and expects payment within a week or so of the beginning of the month. When payment is not received, we are hounded for the money, regardless of the situation.
We have no one to ask for help, and funding is very limited and waiting lists are long in such a rural area. So I had to turn to a crowdfunding source for help and keeping my fingers crossed. Any little bit would help to pay the amount to contribute towards the amount owed for May 2018. I do not know what the other months will bring, but right now I am worried for May and need to think about taking care of it. We cannot afford to be evicted as we would really have no one to turn to and no where to go. We cannot afford another place to move.
