Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you are aware, our dear friend, teacher, mentor and father, Sensei Kevin Suggs, recently suffered a stroke. Strong in body and spirit, Kevin is recovering well, albeit slowly, and should make a complete recovery. Kevin, and his beautiful daughters Keri and Miranda, need our support and prayers. Kevin also needs our financial support, as he started a new job in July, but his insurance coverage does not start until November 1.
Kevin would never ask for financial help. That's why we, his martial arts brothers, students and friends, are asking for your help. No amount is too great or too small. The medical bills, for treatment, recovery and rehabilitation following a stroke, are catastrophic. Kevin has devoted his adult life to teaching, mentoring and guiding many of us in the martial arts, at extraordinary cost of time with his family and other pursuits, for little to no recompense. If he were a martial arts "businessman" (not his style), he would likely have a nest egg in the hundreds of thousands of dollars by now. He does not, and has never turned away a willing and dedicated student.
Sensei Kevin Suggs needs our help. It's time for us all to step up. Please, lend a hand!
