Kettle's Emergency IVDD Surgery

Hello! This fundraiser is for my fur-baby, Kettle. He needs emergency surgery for a ruptured disc in his back caused by IVDD (Intervertebral Disk Disease) which is very common in Havanese. On Wednesday during his walk, I noticed he was limping a little but because he suffered from luxating patella I did not think anything of it and proceeded to give him a Galliprant.
On Thursday, he was completely unable to walk using both hind legs. I rushed him to the Vet and he was diagnosed with IVDD and needs to have a MRI and surgery. This surgery along with the MRI will cost between $6,000 to $8,000 according to the vet and is needed ASAP, as the injury could eventually cause him to completely become paralyzed in his hind legs and lose control of his bowels. Since I can not afford neither, the vet advised crate rest and prescribed Predinose and Gabapentin so far Kettle does not show any signs of regaining usage of his hind legs. However, his prognosis is very good if he has the surgery now!
I rescued Kettle from a puppy mill 12 years ago and up until recently he has been in fairly good health. It saddens me that I can’t do anymore for him and he is in so much pain. If you can PLESAE help Kettle continue enjoying life as he is apart of my family. Any contribution to Kettle’s medical fund is greatly appreciated! I have never asked for any help before now and as the saying goes “ A closed mouth don’t get fed”.
