In 2016 I went out to Jackson, Mississippi on my first mission trip.
I have always felt a heartcry for America, young people and their academic and spiritual growth and to come alongside the vulnerable, broken and marginalised and try to make a difference in their lives.
This trip was lifechanging for me as I felt a sense of purpose and a releasing of my calling in life. I subsequently went back to Jackson the following year and continued to build relationships with the people I had come alongside during my previous visit.
As a result I applied to do a Discipleship Training course in Hawaii where I can continue to learn, build relationship with cross cultural communities and prepare to go out on a 2 month mission trip to Israel, China, India or Fiji.
I have successfully secured a place on the course which starts in January 2019. To support myself I have raised some money and I am looking for sponsorship and additional funding to help me develop my skills, train and ready myself to go into the mission field and wherever God calls me.
I am beyond grateful for the well wishes, encouragement and support that has been given to me so far and I want to be able to share this journey with you all by blogging about my experiences and sharing the realities and challenges I will face on the mission field.
Doing this Discipleship course is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that will take me out of my comfort zone and help me grow but will also help me to make a difference in the world and help those who are vulnerable, broken and in desperate need of God’s love and grace.
”For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper and not to harm, plans to give you a hope and a future” Jeremiah 29:11
With a grateful heart,
Natalie
