Kesean Hannon's Fight to Recovery

Donation protected
Loving, energetic, talented, family-oriented and well-rounded 21 year old man with a heart of gold is how I would describe my little brother Kesean Hannon. Over the past few years, Kesean has been through a lot of traumatic events that led to the severe illness of depression. In 2015, we lost our grandmother unexpectedly. The family as a whole took this hard but Kesean took it extremely hard because they were so close. The following year, he lost his girlfriend who had been battling sickle cell. She passed away four days after giving birth to their son. His girlfriend was everything to him, she was his heart, his best friend, his soulmate.... his entire world.  Since, Kesean has been trying his best to raise their son with the help of family.  He has been having a difficult time with trying to receive assistance from the community/government. We quickly learned the challenges of being a single father.   After the lost of two people that meant the most to him, as well as not receiving proper assistance from the system to help care for his son, life began to feel overwhelming and he felt worthless. As a family we were unaware of how bad things had mentally gotten for him.  Depression is real and it affects everyone differently!

On November 4th 2018, Kesean was rushed to the emergency room where he had to be resuscitated. He is still in critical condition but his care team believes he has a strong chance of pulling through this with the proper medical attention and time. He has currently undergone two surgeries and is being told he has a long but hopeful recovery road ahead of him.  He's progressing tremendously to regain his health and strength but there's still so MUCH more ahead. His medical needs are costly and practically impossible to pay.

My mom and dad are devastated but their spirits and faith is strong. On behalf of my parents, I'm asking for your help. This will be a long journey for us all (Physically, Emotionally, Psychologically and Financially). As a family we are going to see him through this, he has a powerful team of family and friends.  We respectfully ask that you give what you can, no amount is too large or too small.
