We have raised $1500 and wehave $500 to go!!
By the end of the February 2018, we are fundraising $2000 for a school kitchen for the Irigathathi Primary School in Kenya. Irigathathi Primary school is located in Nyeri country, north of the capital, Nairobi and close to Kenya tallest mountain, Mt Kenya. The teachers here reported that many of the students found it difficult to concentrate in class due to being hungry so this kitchen will provide lunches for the students so that they can remain focused in class and get the most out of their education.
In June, 2017, a group of students from The Southport School raised enough money to build the school a new kitchen (pictured). We now need to kit it out with stoves, cabinetry and plumbing we are fundraising $2000 to get there.
We accept donations at Gold Coast Run Co training sessions and we will update our Facebook page regularly during February to show how close we are getting. Gold Coast Run Co Facebook page
