Myself (Charlotte) and Adelle are currently student midwives about to enter our final year of study. During our first year we had a crazy idea that we should go to Kenya and here we are now!
We wanted to not only experience the health inequalities within the country but also those of people within the wider community and how this impacts daily life.
Having this amazing opportunity will not only change our lives but also hopefully we are able to make even the smallest change to those that we meet along the way.
Our adventure will take place through MissionDirect from the 18th August - 1st September 2018. We will be part of a team all of whom come from different walks of life. Our trip will involve building part of a school for children with disabilities. We would love to raise money to provide something towards the school and staff who dedicate their lives to supporting these children.
