KENNY HOYT

Donation protected
Kenny has been mixing live audio since he was a mere 14 years of age. That's about 37 years now! Having come up through the ropes in Florida, Kenny now calls Nashville TN his home. He's mixed countless Artists over the years and mixed many of them on major tours including Craig Campbell as support for last years Luke Bryan Stadium Tour.
Anyone who either knows Kenny or has met him in person can't help but smile when you mention his name. Both his smile and signature smirk are nothing less than purely infectious!
Kenny has both a heart of gold and would give you the shirt from his back if he thought it would help you out.
Make no mistake though, Kenny is a well respected, seasoned FOH Mix Engineer and a well liked industry professional.
At the very end of this past August, Kenny's life came to a near death, life changing, screeching halt.
Caught up in a late night car wreck, Kenny's hip was shattered in multiple places. At the end of a much longer than usual surgery at Vanderbilt Hospital here in Nashville, Kenny had acquired no less than 13 surgical screws (and assorted metal plates) to hold and heal his hip back together. Obviously sidelined for the foreseeable future, Kenny has both managed to keep his chin up and work hard at minimizing his recovery time by strictly following doctors & surgeons instructions with regard to both diet and rehab.
During this entire time, all Kenny could think about was going back to work, doing the thing he loves most; mixing live sound.
After 6 weeks recovering at the Hospital, Kenny moved to the Vanderbilt rehab center next door.  After a mere 2 weeks there and a big stamp of approval (and a brief layover at Joe & Lisa's house almost next door), Kenny moved back into his home in Mount Juliet with me, his long time friend, colleague and room mate, Jim Hurst.
We all know the stresses and pressures that come with unemployment in our Biz. With any serious injury and the associated (and often unknown) recovery period, perhaps even more so!
In the spirit of our Industry Brothers and Sisters, colleagues, co-workers and friends alike, I ask you for support in helping Kenny through this exceptionally long and challenging recovery period. All he wants is to be able to go back to work.
I know that with our combined help and support (without a doubt!), he'll get there!
