Kenny- a father, a brother, a coach, a husband and a sincere friend. If you know Kenny, you know he's the life of any party. Kenny is the most positive person most of us know, and every time he's around, he has probably made you laugh until you cried. Kenny loves his family and does everything he can to take the best care of them. Kenny puts his friends and loved ones above himself, and always makes time to lend a hand and support those in need. Anyone that has crossed paths with him would probably agree with me that he carry's a positive, life changing spirit with him wherever he goes.
Unfortunately, on Wednesday, October 16th, Kenny had a horrible accident while working on a house in Whitefish, MT. Kenny has been building for 15 years and is extremely experienced in many trades. Kenny is quick on his feet and is highly aware of his surroundings, but on Wednesday he mistakenly stepped off a 17ft drop, sending him head first into the hard ground. The three crew members on site rushed down below to help and see if he was okay. After several minutes of examining his condition, the call was made to get him in a truck and go to the hospital. Kenny suffered 4 broken vertebrae, 3 in his back and 1 in his neck, some minor head injuries, and 12 broken ribs from his fall. Kenny had a framing nail gun and his tool bags full of sharp tools, nails, and 8 inch screws that went down with him along with piles of lumber and large boulders that he barely missed at the bottom. This fall could have ended a million different ways and its obvious Kenny is lucky to walk again, and by the grace of God he is still here with us today. We thank God for his protection over Kenny that day and for the expected 100% recovery ahead of him.
As of right now, the Guzman family needs all of our help. Kenny's full recovery will take quite some time and giving financially is one of the best ways we can help them during this season. After discussing their financial needs, our goal for them is $25,000. This number will help cover them completely for the next 5 months. With high hopes and prayers, this will be enough time for Kenny to be up and running. We believe in this community and in our friends and family that the support is there. They need us now more than ever and we know our goal is possible with your help, so lets get the ball rolling!
There will be more ways to help Kenny and his family down the road, and because of his good character and heart, he has many close friends there for him in other areas of need.
