Kenneth's kidney transplant

Hello my name is Corrine Walker and I am starting a gofundme page for my son Kenneth Walker. Kenneth was diagnosed with SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus when he was 25 years old. For those who are unaware Lupus is an autoimmune disease which cause the immune system to confuse organs and other vital areas of the bodies as foreign materials and it begins to attack these areas. It has been hard but the real struggle began when his kidneys failed after a major flare of his disease. He has been on dialysis for nearly 5 years and with the help of a long time friend and her husband, we have found a match and nearing the stage to have his transplant surgery scheduled in San Antonio. I am asking for any donations you may want to give to help with expenses, as well as travel for Brian Leto and his wife as they are commuting from Yuma Arizona to donate to my son. The transplant may take place late February or sometime in March if all goes as planned. Kenneth will be unable to work for 6 weeks and may need to stay up to 2 weeks in San Antonio in the hopes no complications arise. Also Mr, Leto and his wife will be staying for an extended amount of time as well. My son is a well loved music teacher at Ralls ISD and is passionate about his job and his students. This opportunity will allow him to continue his career and continue to inspire the children he teaches as well as end his dialysis and begin a normal life. He has been passionate about music his whole life which is only surpassed by his passion for being a father to his son Miles.
