Kennady’s Spine Surgery

Kennady was volunteering this season in our local lacrosse community and injured her spine severely while helping a kid who got hit from behind during a game. She has since been in and out of sunnybrook and Toronto East general hospital where she had an MRI which confirmed she had severely slipped 2 disks in her spine. She now requires surgery due to the disks pressing on her nerves and causing her to lose feeling in her right leg and lose bladder function. This will require her to be off work for approximately 8-9 months with a long recovery ahead of her. She will require physiotherapy, amongst many other therapies. We are trying to ease the financial her stress having to travel back and fourth to the city to see specialists, pay for parking and keep up with her current bills now being off work.
