Kendra's Cancer Crusade

Donation protected
On April 22, 2018, Kendra went into the emergency room and a very large clot was discovered on her lung. In addition, a large mass was also discovered in the soft tissue surrounding Kendra's kidney. After a series of tests were run, on May 2, 2018 our sweet Kendra was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma. Ewing’s Sarcoma is a very rare type of cancerous tumor that grows in your bones or the soft tissue around your bones, such as cartilage or the nerves. Ewing’s Sarcoma affects about 200 children and young adults every year in the United States.  While adults can get Ewing’s sarcoma, it is very uncommon. Kendra's treatment plan will involve 17 rounds of chemotherapy with the goal of removing the kidney sometime this summer once the tumor has shrunk slightly. To further complicate things, the pulmonary embolism (blood clot) on Kendra's lung, which occurred as a result of the tumor,  poses an even higher risk factor than the cancer itself. Kendra's journey will require many hospital stays, very expensive medications, and lots of travel from her home in Marysville to Roseville, as well Stanford Medical Center. Although Kendra is currently collecting short term disability, her long term disability will only provide a portion of her current salary.  We are asking those who love Kendra, David, and Lola dearly, to join together in both prayer and financial support in order to ease the financial burden that this journey will have on her family. I have no doubt that if you know Kendra, then you have been blessed by her caring and generous heart for others and for the Lord. We are believing in faith that the Lord will work mighty miracles through this season of Kendra's life. When I asked Kendra what verse she has clung to during this difficult time, without hesitation, she recited...
Romans 8:28: "All things work together for good for those that love the Lord, and are called according to His will."
