Kely’s recovery

Donation protected
Hello family and friends this post is in regards to the incident that happened at Romac on 12/26. There was an explosion (still under investigation) Kely took quite a blast from what we can tell. He was up and walking around right after the incident and was put into an ambulance. In the ambulance they put him to sleep and put in a breathing tube to secure his air way. On the way to Harborview they made a pit stop in Monroe to get him more stable. He then made it to Harborview where he was able to get better examined. He has 1st and 2nd degree burns over 24% of his body some of the 2nd degrees are pretty deep and could change to 3rd. He has a lot of superficial burns. His face, neck, chest, stomach and arms took the most damage. This morning his breathing tube was removed and he is able to communicate with everyone. He is in great spirits and has even flipped off a nurse lol. Depending on how the next week goes he could be getting surgery as soon as next week. The goal is to get him up and moving as soon as possible. It’s going to be a long road ahead but in just 24 hours he has made great progress.

He is going to be out of work for quite some time and him and Sam will be spending a lot of time at the hospital so their first priority shouldn’t be money. Hopefully we can help cover some of the stress of bills.

thank you to everyone for everything!
