Keith G. Rickard Memorial Fund

My husband Keith Rickard, age 59 father of 4 and grandfather of 8 had a severe stroke last year.  After a prolonged stay with many complications at St. Joseph Hospital he was transfered to The Sanctuary in White Lake.  He has been a resident there for over 8 months.  During this time he has returned to St. Joseph many times.  The stroke left him paralysized on one side, unable to speak above a whisper and bedridden,  He was always alert and aware of his surrounding.  Keith's health began to improve but about a month ago he started having severe stomach issues that resulted in him having emergency gallbladder surgery 10 days ago.  He now has pneumonia in both lungs and struggles with each breath he takes.  Keith has told us he does not want anymore surgries or procedures.  He says he is ready to go "Home".  He was placed on hospice on Thursday and he is receiving comfort measures only.  We are asking for help with medical & funeral expenses.  Any donation is appreciated.
