SO NOW WE KNOW - Not a Hard Brexit, Not a Soft Brexit, Not a Green Brexit, Not a Red, White & Blue Brexit but a HALLOWEEN BREXIT!!

It just goes to prove - BREXITERS REALLY HAVEN'T GOT A GHOST OF AN IDEA !  They never did - it was all LIES, LIES, LIES!!!

Thank you Mr Barnier. Thank you Mr Tusk. Thank you Mr Junker. Thank you Mrs Merkel. Thank you Mr Macron.  Thank you all 25 other fellow European nations!

So, We've got 202 days to STOP BREXIT and we CAN do it!!  YES WE CAN!!

That's 202 days to stop the madness!!  202 days to keep protesting, keep organising, keep campaigning and to just keep going.  We can do this!!

The amazing Steve Bray & his amazing team at SODEM are in no small way, part of this achievement and will be a huge part of the next 202 days.

Day in day out.  In wind, rain, snow and sunshine.
STOP BREXIT!! Steven Bray and his team of “Saboteurs” have been outside Parliament, representing remainers and what we stand for, every single day that Parliament has been sitting,  since 4th September 2017!!  Now theyve got another 202 days to go.  Thank you Steve.  Thank you SODEM.

Our very own “Mr Shouty” and the SODEM protest has become a regular “guest” on Brexit news reports  around the world.  With his ever larger megaphone and ever longer banner poles, he’s been praised by Jon Snow, interviewed by James O’Brien and photographed literally thousands of times.  On “No Brexit day” on Friday 29th March, he made the front page of the Evening Standard but his greatest achievement to date has to be being lampooned on Breakfast TV by Piers Morgan!  You’ve got them rattled Steve!

Brexit “celebrity status” has not come lightly.  Apart from his gruelling 14 hour daily routine,  Steve has been roundly criticised, jostled, abused and threatened, often by people who should know better. (Damien Green MP!).

In spite of everything, along with his amazing team of supporters, Steve keeps campaigning.  Politely asking MPs how they think things are going and fighting, in a quintessentially eccentric British  manner, for what we all believe is right for this country.  To stop Brexit!

Keeping Steve and his team outside Parliament and keeping the SODEM protest going, costs money.  Accommodation in central London is expensive and then there’s food, transport, storage, parking, banners and publicity costs to cover.

Contrary to popular belief, neither Steve nor the SODEM protest has ever received a single penny from George Soros (or any other major political donor for that matter).  Not one of us has seen the £80 per day fee that leavers seem to think drops into our bank accounts every Friday!  Well, I haven't!  Have you!?  Perhaps I gave him the wrong Sort Code!

We know that money is tight and we know that thousands of you contribute regularly to the numerous crowd fund requests from the remain movement but we need to ask you again for your support.

Please give whatever you can to keep the protest going.  Please like this post and share, share, share with friends, family and work colleagues.  If everyone who has signed the A50 petition put in just £1, we’d raise almost as much as that nice Mr Banks donated to the leave campaign during the referendum campaign!..............Wherever it came from!

Please continue to  donate, like and share, share, share with your friends, family and work colleagues and help Steve Bray and his team at SODEM stay outside Parliament for another 202 days to STOP BREXIT!!

Our group of Surrey based remainers who ran the hugely successful www.getmetothemarch.co.uk campaign to fund transport costs to the biggest political protest march the country has ever seen, on Saturday 23rd March, have decided to put our fund raising skills to the test again and see how much we can raise to help Steve and his team.

Every penny we receive in donations from this campaign will be passed on to Steve and SODEM.

Over to you.

Tim Evans and fellow Surrey Remainers.

Dear Donors - Important message from Tim Evans on behalf of Surrey Remainers gofundme initiative for Steve Bray & his SODEM team.

Firstly, thank you all for your generosity in supporting this, our second group fundraising initiative.

Some of you will be aware that Steve considered standing as a candidate in this month's European Parliamentary Election and that his SODEM team, ran a brief funding initiative with Fundrazr to cover the cost of his deposit and campaign expenses.

So as not to detract from the Fundrazr initiative during that period, we stopped promoting the initiative to which you have so generously donated here and have not yet withdrawn any of the funds.

With a view to avoiding splitting the remain vote in London, Steve has since withdrawn his candidacy and the SODEM Fundrazr initiative has been closed. Many of the donors to that initiative have kindly agreed to add their donations to this one and for the money to be passed on to SODEM to cover ongoing costs of keeping Steve and his team outside Parliament every day.

For the sake of clarity and transparency, before we withdraw funds from this initiative, we have been asked by gofundme to provide the following information to donors;

Q1: How you are related to the parties you're raising funds for?
A1: We are a group of Surrey based Remain activists who have raised money for a number of Remain campaigns and events. We are related by our shared view that Brexit is bad for the UK and should be stopped. This initiative, on behalf of Steve and SODEM, was our way of supporting their amazing dedication to the Remain cause by raising funds towards their everyday costs of accommodation, leaflets, banners, flags etc etc. Contrary to claims by one or two MPs and some newspapers, donations from people like us are their only source of income.

Q2: Can you provide a clear statement that you will be withdrawing the funds and delivering them (to the intended recipient)?
A2: Yes, once we have withdrawn the funds we will be transferring them all to the SODEM team's own bank account, for them to use as necessary, to support their activities with Steve outside Parliament.

Q3: Explain how and when you will deliver the funds?
A3: As soon as all funds have been received and accounted for they will be transferred from our designated Surrey Remainers bank account, (held in my name and administered by me on behalf of Surrey Remainers). The tranfer to Steve & SODEM will be made by me, online, together with some other cash donations that we have received from local supporters here in Surrey. Allowing time for funds to arrive in our designated account from gofundme and for us to pass them on to SODEM, we expect the process to be completed within the next 7 - 10 days, following which the initiative will be closed.

Thank you once again for your generous support. We hope that you will be happy for us to withdraw funds now and deal with them as we have outlined above.

Friday afternoon. Another weekend on the way. Parliament in recess and Steve and his team are taking a well earned break for a few days.

In the meantime, we're edging up to £7,000, a third of the way to our target that will keep Steve shouting outside Parliament until 31st October! Amazing!!

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated so generously so far. If each one of you found just two friends, relatives or work colleagues to match your donation we'd be there before Easter. How about that for a target?

Buy one less Easter egg than you were planning to and donate the money towards keeping Steve outside Parliament or ask your family to donate what they were going to spend on chocolate for you instead!! Simples!

Its healthier, better for your waistline, your teeth and your blood sugar levels - and it won't half make you feel good!!

Thank you once again. Please keep liking and sharing our posts. Working together we can stop the madness.

PS - thank you to Daniel Elkan and the Wooferendum team for this fantastic photo!

WOW!! £5,496 in just 4 days! Thank you for your amazing generosity!!

As the Brexit sh1t show continues it is more important than ever that we work together to stop the madness and a vital part of that is keeping Steve Bray and the SODEM team outside Parliament. Your donations will help to make that possible. Thank you once again.

I was lucky to be at SODEM on Monday (1st April) along with around 200 other Remainers, including a whole coachload from Yorkshire for Europe. They even bought their own tuba (and tuba player) with them. Their hilarious rendition of "Your Brexit Deal is Crap!", to the tune of "On Ilkley Moor baht 'at" was clearly heard on Chanel 4 news during an interview with that nice Mr Bidgen.

The flags and banners against the blue sky, spring sunshine and Brexit celebrities including Faux BoJo and a rather odd looking Michael Gove (doesn't he always look odd?!), joined by Mike Galsworthy, Madeleina Kay and the "Nose" float created a carnival like atmosphere; a far cry from the scenes in Parliament Square on Friday when Leave Means Leave, UKIP & the EDL came to town.

Later in the day (an hour later than last week!) there was a fantastic display of lights on EU flags and remain banners and more singing to amuse the international TV crews filing their evening reports.

This was all a normal day at the office for Steve and the SODEM team. They are making a difference and anything you can do to support them, either by being there in person and/or donating towards covering their costs is another flea on the back of the Brexit Elephant*.

We can stop this madness - thank you for doing what you can to help.

Please remember to like and share our posts and to encourage friends, relatives and work colleagues to donate.

Many thanks

Tim Evans & Fellow Surrey Remainers

* There is (allegedly) a Chinese proverb that says "if you can get enough fleas on the back of an elephant, you can make it fall over", or words to that effect. We are all fleas on the back of the Brexit elephant.

Together, we can make it fall over and we must.
