My amazing cousin Jayna is a year and a half away from finishing her bachelors degree in biology and physiology and then plans to head off to medical school.
Jayna has been in recovery from drugs and alcohol for six years and is very active in her support of others in the recovery community. After medical school she is committed to returning to her home in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to work as a psychiatrist, specializing in recovery from addiction, as well as pain management to address the unmet needs in her underserved community.
She is currently registered for fall classes, which start in less than one week and was just told that she will not be able to attend if she does not pay $2300 more that she owes the University. She has used all of her available loans and credit for this semester and has paid all that she can and is now needs help to continue her education.
