Friends, fellow monster kids, and regular (and irregular?) supporters . . . please know that I understand if you are unable to help me in this way right now. I appreciate all that you've done for me over the years. All the support and love you've sent my way has been incredibly generous.
Last year, I committed to attending the 2019 Monster Bash convention in Pennsylvania. As most of you know, between committing to the convention and now, I lost my job of 14 years. I have been able to pay for plane tickets and I had already paid for my table. However, I have not been able to put together enough money to cover all of my hotel. My ebay sales have been less successful than I hoped, and I can only try to sell old books to Powell's City of Books so many times!
I thought I would put this GoFundMe campaign together as a last ditch attempt to cover my remaining hotel room charges at Monster Bash.
(I'm also looking for audio editing work, so if you know of any, I'm all ears . . . get it? Audio? Ears?)
If, by the time I close this GoFundMe campaign, I'm able to pay for more than my remaining hotel room charges, I'll be able to eat more than oatmeal and Atkin's bars during my trip to the Bash.
Unless our financial situation drastically changes between this year's and next year's Monster Bash, I may not be able to make the trip next year. For those of you who've been to Monster Bash, or even those who've not been but have heard my coverage of the convention on my Monster Kid Radio podcast, you know how special this event is, and if you haven't been before, I can't recommend it enough!
