Help With Testicular Cancer

Donation protected

As most of you may know my fiance Keegan Fights was diagnosed with testicular cancer on August 14th, 2017. What started out as a pain in his back, which led to being in the ER at Community hospital in Anderson, two CT scans and finding out he has a mass in his lower right back, to a biopsy in Castleton and a lot of missed work, ended up being stage 2 cancer. Keegan will have to have surgery to have his right testicle removed and 9 weeks of chemotherapy, which will be in three cycles. Keegan will also require a stent in his chest. The surgery is scheduled for this Friday August 25th at 11:30am. The chemotherapy will start a week or two after surgery.

Keegan has a great job, and his superintendent have been very understanding. However, he hasn't been working in the carpenters union for very long and is not eligible for insurance through his employer yet. The good news is, he was approved for cobra insurance, but that wasn't easy. It required a lot of phone calls and Keegan driving back and forth for paperwork. All while continuing to work.

Then, not only does Keegan already have cancer on his mind, Sunday August 20th, we drove the truck to pick up a dryer from Keegans friend, whom he has been friends with since they were kids (the dryer went out the same day he found out he has cancer). On our way home, we start to slow down to stop at an intersection. Before we know it, another truck with a trailer hooked up to it, rolls through the stop sign and turns onto our side of the road and almost hits us. So, of course Keegan slams on the brakes to avoid an accident. Then, the driver in the truck moves forward, doesn't even give us enough time to put it in reverse to back up, so he can get through, complete disregard for us. So, we go a few hundred feet and Keegan sees the brake light come on and the brakes are spongy. Right away, Keegan knew that a brake line busted. The brake pedal was all the way to the floor. So, we had to drive home from Muncie to Matthews on a busted brake line. It is added stress that he does not need.

Family and friends have been very supportive! However, once chemotherapy starts it will be difficult to pay for our bills the next few months and catch up on the bills we are currently behind. Even with me working, it will be difficult. We are seeking for any help that we can get to help pay for our bills the next few months and possibly make it to the sperm bank before his chemotherapy starts. We are already behind on rent for the month of August and soon to be behind for the month of September. Not only rent there is the car loan we have. With our daughter in school, my work, Keegan going to chemotherapy everyday, we can't lose our vehicle, plus our truck that needs fixed. Then, there are the bills you would think of, like electric, water and etc. From day one, it has brought nothing but stress and worry and if you know Keegan, you know he will do anything for anyone else. He is always putting himself second. Always optimistic and happy.  Keegan is not only my fiance, he is my best friend and partner and has been for 11 years. Any contribution amount will be appreciated, more than you know! Thank you all for prayers and support!
