ICE BOWL 2017-KC Area Food Pantry

Donation protected
The 30th Annual Disc Golf Ice Bowl is to help raise awareness of our need to help the hungry. The Kansas City Flying Disc Club has raised over $60,000 to support the Bishop Sullivan Center the last 14 years; they are Harvester’s largest food pantry in the metro area. Last year over 325 people participated in this event, we anticipate more this year, as this total player count was our lowest since 2008.  To date though,  there have been over 3000 people play locally in the Ice Bowl.

The KCFDC Goal is $10,000,  the worldwide goal is $400,000 to support local charities.   Last year the Ice Bowl worldwide raised over $357,000 for charities within local communities!

The rules of the Ice Bowl are simple: 1) Under no circumstances can an Ice Bowl be postponed or cancelled; 2) No wimps or whiners are allowed; and thus 3) There are no excuses for not attending. (Either be there or be a wimp!)

Our Events have a series of events that conclude at Swope Park on Sunday January 29th.  Our club goal again is $10000, every little bit will help out our community.
