Praying For A Miracle

$685 of $5,000 goal

My mother needs help rebuilding her business. We've been homeless for over five years now, after having lost everything we owned including my brother Korey to toxic black mold. She wrote about his passing in her blog post, "11:11 A Minute In Time". ( https://lamarellecouture.wordpress.com/2016/02/26/1111-a-minute-in-time/)

The holidays are very hard on us, because he died so close to Christmas, his birthday, and my mother's birthday; that was only the beginning of our journey into homelessness. Moving from state to state, fleeing many dangers, we struggled to survive. Now we're trying to find a reason to keep going.

My mother has been sick since she was born, defying a rare heart condition among several other birth defects. Despite all of that, she managed to build herself a very successful business to help support her family. Now we both struggle with the effects of toxic black mold poisoning on top of everything else. When the business first started, we were happy having something that we could work on together. We miss having something we created that we could share with the world.

I believe that if she was able to have her business again, my mom would gain a small piece of herself back. I really want to see that happen for her, because I know she can do amazing things. She needs funds for her vintage supplies and office equipment, to replace what was lost. It would not take much to get us going again. I've been taking classes at the library to expand my resume, but we need more immediate relief.

My mother longs to create again and to make people happy. We've managed to do a lot on our own, but it hasn't been enough to carry us through. My mother is a very hard-working individual and can rebuild a very successful business if given the opportunity. All we want to do is to be able to live again as who we once were. We would like a home again. Please help us get our life back.

Today Korey Francis Walmsley would have been 27, he was absolutely brilliant.  Gone simply by breathing air, drove us all into a dark dark world.  We would also like to help others once we get on our feet and my mom has already started.

Please share, not for the money but so others can see what simply breathing the wrong air or living in the wrong home can destroy you.

We want to thank Cars That Care for donating a car to us!! This will go a very long way to helping us out with our goals. If anyone has any boxes of broken vintage jewelry they would like to get rid of, please let us know, as we are in great need of such supplies. God Bless Cars That Care!

So very happy to report that Cars that Care is gifting us with a car, we hope to pick it up next week. We have also secured the insurance for the car. We are scrambling now to raise the money to get it registered and titled. That is approximately $150. Every little penny helps. Even if you can't spare, could you please share. A dollar hear, a dollar there and we can get to our Doctor appointments, get to work and get my daughter Amanda to school. This would be a great step forward. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

When we first got here, my mom offered to do this painting for a local business. She finished it just before Halloween and the cold weather came. It was like a gift to the city which is giving her new life.

*During the painting of this, someone actually stole all of her supplies.

Just so you know, my mom has been very busy making new pieces. She was able to buy supplies and much-needed tools, and is back at work. Thank you so much for your continued support, and please pray that our campaign ends soon!
