Dr Garcia DVM aka The Patron Saint of Pets Memorial Fund
86 year old Veterinarian, Dr Edward A Garcia has passed away March15th 2017 and a memorial and funeral will be held in his great honor at St John's Chrystostomn Church in Golden Colorado if we can raise the funding to do so.
Dr Garcia Aka the Patron Saint of Pets
Since 1961 - Dr Edward Garcia DVM has assisted homeless pets and people in need - He was the first Hispanic to graduate from Colorado State University's Veterinary Program and in 1971 was the first to start a 24 hour Animal Hospital in the Denver metro area at I-70 & Pecos St.
Dr Garcia never held finances at the forefront but the medical care for the pets was his only concern. In 2007 we were granted a Non Profit status as he had already given over $40,000.00 a year for 40 years out of his pocket to assist people and animals in need. He has been honored & well revered by the Veterinary Community and Pet People all over the world. His legacy will always be the caring sole who gave up riches to save the lives of animals. His current data base of clientele reaches from 1961 to present. He needs a proper funeral where people can bring thier pets to honor this great Animal Doctor, Grandfather, Father and Friend to so many. The animals he has helped now ranges into the millions. God may he rest in peace.
