Help Save Vanessa Uribe's Life

Donation protected
When I began dating my girlfriend, one story that always touched my heart was the kindness she showed to a local family in town. The family is hard working, and while they had money for the essentials, they were cutting it close, and that is where my girlfriend stepped in to help out. Whether it was rides to and from school (they did not have a car and had to walk everywhere no matter the weather), or playing Santa Clause ,we always stepped in to help out.
Their young daughter Vanessa is one of the sweetest girls I've ever met. Despite the obvious financial hardships in which she was born into, she always had a heart warming smile and positive demeanor. She is a very smart girl who overcame her language barrier to learn english well enough to be one of the brightest young girls in her class! She was always a great friend Gabriella (My girlfriends oldest daughter) and a pleasure to be around.
When we heard that Vanessa had been "too sick to go to school" we felt the need to investigate. While her mother's english is spotty at best, we were able to get out where she was and the seriousness of her condition. We did not realize how bad it was until we found out she had been in the hospital since late January.
Vanessa has developed Anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis, which is a rare condition where the immune system attacks its own body, causing disruptions of the electrical impulses in the brain. The once intelligent and happy girl is no longer able to speak, eat, or control her eyes and limbs. If you wish to research the disease further here is a link:

Vanessa has been in the hospital since right after Christmas, and her medical bills are stacking up. Her family has a difficult enough time making ends meet as it is, and any money that you could donate would be greatly appreciated, as it could not just give her family reassurance, but you could potentially be saving the life of a young girl who simply wishes to smile again. The longer you wait to act is simply putting distance between Vanessa and recovery.
