Hello everyone!! I am so blessed and grateful to be granted the opportunity to attend Biola University and pursue my dreams. Biola is truly my dream school, last November I traveled all the way from Massachusetts to California to visit the school. For most of high school, I was unsure of what college I wanted to attend and what I wanted to major in- but the moment that I stepped foot on Biola grounds, I knew that Biola is where I was meant to be. I attended a tour of the Cinema Media Arts school at Biola, and it became clear to me that I wanted to pursue majoring in Film with an emphasis in Screenwriting. I want to be able to share my stories to the world and express myself through my writing. Ever since I was eight years old, I loved to film things. I always made YouTube videos with my sisters- we made skits, we made music videos. I have always had a love for film and expressing myself creatively through that. I also always have loved writing, I used to spend hours on end as a kid making my own chapter books and picture books. So I finally realized, why not put the two together? I love to make people happy, and that is something that I intend to do through my work. I want to bring light into people’s lives. Even if I can make one person smile- that would mean the world to me. The film industry is so tough, but I know that I can find success in it. I really believe in my heart that this is something that Jesus has intended me to do. This is something that makes me happy, it is my passion. I am not going to just let my passion go to waste.
I know that Biola is a place where I will be able to thrive in growing my relationship with Jesus and I will be able to pursue my passion of becoming a screenwriter. Everything has fallen into place- I have been accepted into Biola, I have been accepted into the CMA program. But a big block that I have to push through is the finances.
Unfortunately, my family will not be able to cover the remaining $27,000 that needs to be paid for my tuition. I know that Jesus always provides, and I know in my heart that He wants me to attend Biola. August 15th is the due date for $13,000 for the first semester and $14,000 for the second semester is due in the winter and I would be extremely grateful for any amount of money donated! I believe that I will be a great addition to the Biola family, I have so much to contribute- I have so many creative ideas to share with my peers in the CMA program, I have so much love for Jesus that I want to share with everyone at Biola. I believe that I am a very hardworking individual and I am able to push through any trials with the help of Jesus. Having the ability to attend this school is such an amazing opportunity and I do not want to waste it. I believe wholeheartedly that Jesus has drawn me to this school, and I am going to do anything I can to follow His path. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and thank you for your generosity!
