Kayla's Medical Recovery

Our daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, and friend Kayla Davis was in a head on collision with a semi on May 8th, 2018 near Moab, Utah. Somehow, by a miracle, Kayla was able to survive. Kayla is a beautiful, smart, and very sweet young woman. Her strength and will to live is a large part of why she is alive today.
Kayla was flown to three different hospitals due to the extent of her injuries. She ended up receiving extraordinary care at the Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado. As soon as Kayla recovers from her second surgery, she will need to be relocated to a rehabilitation center where she can regain the strength and movement in her legs.
Kayla was very fortunate to leave the accident with only both lower legs crushed, a bruised colon, a small laceration on her liver, and a dislocated femur. We believe that if it weren’t for the quick work of some wonderful people who stopped to help at the accident Kayla would not be with us today.
At this point, we have been able to keep some family near Kayla, but due to the logistics and cost of trying to keep someone with Kayla is getting very difficult and costly. Kayla will have months of recovery and therapy to go through to get back to complete health. We would like to help Kayla with the weight of her financial burdens so that she can focus on healing.
Anyone who knows Kayla has been touched by her genuine spirit! She is a fighter! We are humbly asking for any donation no matter how small or large. If you can’t help, we would be just as grateful if you could share this with your family and friends.
